Footvolley Netherlands was voor de zomer actief bij Eredivisie Beachvolleybal. Heerenveen, Utrecht en Groningen werden aangedaan.

Daarnaast is FVN actief geweest bij een toernooi in Nijmegen.

Internationaal waren er toernooien in Eilat, Schwabisch Gmund, Barcelona, Baku, Ajaccio, Piana, Ajaccio en Antibes.

22/23 September is er een toernooi in de buurt van Athene.

Israel upsets Brazil to take the title on season opener

Groningen – January 7, 2018 – What a start to the season it was! The FlexVirtual International welcomed teams from eleven nations and saw Israelis’ Pascal Schmidt / Maor Haas, pave the way towards their first title in the season.

The 2-day event delivered some exciting matches, including Brazil’s upset against the local squad Bart Zantman / Martjin ten Duis in the opening rounds. The Dutch went undefeated during the group stage, along with Joel Nisslein / Mo Obeid (Germany), Oren Zubeari / Barak Spoj and Jonathan Flash / Ron Ben Ishay.

The playoff rounds started with the eight teams battling to join the group stage winners in the quarter-finals. The highlight match featured Italian youngsters Federico Iacopucci / Alain Facinni against Pascal Schmidt / Maor Haas in a 3-set battle setting the end of the road for the Italians.

The quarter-final stage was highlighted by the presence of four Israeli teams and the rise of the Brazilians when it mattered most. Both nations made their way to the final, and watched Israel’s Oren Zubeari / Barak Spoj defeating Martjin ter Duis / Bart Zantman to secure the third-place spot.

Fans were given the most wanted final match-up, a clash between the favorites, Brazil, and the promising talents from Israel. The encounter revealed Israelis, Pascal Schmidt / Maor Haas as one of the teams to look out for this year. The squad kicks off the season with confidence and seek to continue their winning streak at the World Footvolley Cup in Eilat.

FlexVirtual International Footvolley Tournament 2018

Information

On this page we try to give as much information about the upcoming international footvolley tournament in Groningen as possible. This tournament is organised by Footvolley Groningen.

Players can fly to Amsterdam and travel by train to Groningen (2 hours, 25 euro, one way ticket). They can also fly to Bremen and travel by bus to Groningen (2 hours, 25 euro for a one way ticket).

Date and location

The date of the tournament will be: 4th – 7th of january 2018. We will play in Binn’npret (Ulgersmaweg 52 Groningen). There are 4 courts.

Objects in Groningen you might need to know is on this map. Binn’npret is in yellow and the Grote Markt (Big square) is in blue.

Hotel

Invited teams stay two nights at the Studenthotel.
Every (extra) night will cost 70 euro inclusive breakfast.

Food

We will provide at Binn’npret:
-dinner at fhursday, friday and saturday
-lunch at friday and saturday

Drinks you have to buy for yourself. You can drink the water in The Netherlands.

Transportation

From the direction Amsterdam you get out at central station Groningen. Invited teams will get transportation to the hotel.

During the tournament we will provide transportation to go to the centre.

Clothing

Every player will get a singlet. Please bring your own shorts. Teams have to wear the same singlets/shorts.

Fee

Players of extra teams has to pay €65 to the indoorlocation.

Friday

-Arrival of the rest of the teams before 11.30 am
-The poulematches will be played from 09.00 am till 09.00 pm

-Between 01.00 till 03.00 pm the lunch will be served

-If you don’t have to play you can grab a lunch

-Dinner between 07.00 and 9.00 pm

-10.00 pm till … drink at the bar of the Studenthotel

Saturday

 

-The finals will be played at 11.00 am

-Between 02.00 till 03.00 pm the lunch will be served

-Final at 05.00 pm

-Dinner after the final

-Party at ‘t Pakhuis

Sunday

-Departure at 10.00 am from the hotel
